The higher radiation energy used in industrial X-ray makes the use of standard medical cassettes impossible. Therefore, the cassettes have user-selectable built-in lead sheet front filters of 125 μm (0.005") and 250 μm (0.010"), and a standard 150 μm (0.006") lead sheet at the back side to avoid back scatter.
A magnetic sheet ensures equal pressure over the entire imaging plate, eliminating the risk of unevenness that influences the image quality during exposure.
The lead sheets are covered with a protective layer to avoid contamination of the IPC during handling.
